Raffle Ticket Sales Event

This article outlines the steps involved in creating a Raffle Ticket Sales event on the TicketHost platform.

Event Creation

Raffle Ticket Sales events are created essentially the same as other events with just a handful of important settings that you need to be aware of. The steps are:

Add New Event - Page 1

  1. Set Category to Raffle
  2. The Event Start date should be set to the date that the raffle is to be drawn.
  3. The Bookings Open and Bookings Close dates represent the start and end dates for the sales of the Raffle Tickets

  1. Set Allocated Seats to Yes
  2. Create a new Seating Plan with the Capacity set to the maximum number of tickets that you plan to sell.

  1. For sales of Raffle Tickets, the selected ticket categories must have the Category Type set to Raffle Ticket. If a suitable ticket category already exists, it may be re-used for your new event. Simply select it and then click Add Selection to Event.
  2. Alternatively, click the Add New Ticket Category button and create a new category with Category Type set to Raffle Ticket.
  3. Once all ticket categories have been added, set Raffle Ticket Allocation to your preferred option Random or Sequential.

Please Note: Raffle Ticket Sales events require some additional database configuration to be performed by TicketHost staff. We will endeavour to complete this as soon as possible, generally within 1 - 3 hours. You will be notified as soon as this task has been completed.

Ticket Category Setup

Important: When Ticket Categories are initially created, there are different settings required, depending on whether the category is for:

  • A Single Raffle Ticket
  • Multiple Raffle Tickets, eg. Bundle of 5 Tickets

Ticket Category - Single Raffle Ticket

  1. Set Category Type to Raffle Ticket.
  2. Set Multi-ticket Bundle to No.
  3. Tickets in Bundle will default to 1

  1. Set Category Type to Raffle Ticket.
  2. Set Multi-ticket Bundle to Yes.
  3. Set Tickets in Bundle to 5
