Ticket Scanning
In order to commence Ticket Scanning, you must have completed the following steps:
- Logged in as a Ticket Scanner
- Selected the appropriate Scanner Settings
- Allow access to your device's camera
- Press the green Start Scanning button

Ticket Scanning Procedure
Ticket purchasers are emailed a pdf file that contains a QR Code on a separate page for each ticket purchased.
Attendees may present the QR Code on their phones or in printed format.
- The device's camera is activated via the Start Scanning button.
- The camera view will be displayed in a window on your screen (see image below)
- Hold the camera over the ticket's QR Code and it will automatically read the QR Code.
- Once the QR Code has been read, the data is analysed and the result will be displayed on screen.

If the scan type is 'Check-In' there are 3 possible Scan Results
1) Valid
- QR Code matches expected format and contains valid data for the current event
- Ticket has not been previously Checked-In OR has been Checked-Out since being Checked-In
- Green tick displayed along with ticket information
Action Required: Press Green tick button to proceed.
2) Query (Scanner Operator decision required)
- QR Code matches expected format and contains valid data for the current event
- Ticket has been Checked-In previously and has not subsequently been Checked-Out
- The scan history for the ticket is displayed.
Action Required:
a) Valid reason why the ticket has been previously Checked-In => Press the Approve button and allow entry.
b) No valid reason why the ticket has been previously Checked-In => Press the Reject button and disallow entry.
3) Invalid
- Reason for Invalid classification will be displayed in red text (see list below)
- Red cross displayed
Possible reasons for an Invalid scan include:
- Ticket is for a different event. ie. not the 'Active' event selected by the Scanner Operator
- Ticket was cancelled by purchaser (after tickets had been emailed)
- QR Code matches TicketHost format but contains invalid data
- QR Code does not match TicketHost format
