Make a 2D Game In Scratch With STEMBirds - Sept 2024

Sorry, bookings are closed for this event.

Embark on an exciting coding adventure with STEMBirds Scratch Block Programming Workshop, where creativity meets coding! Using Scratch's colourful, visual language, students will create their own games, animations, and interactive stories, bringing their imaginations to life while mastering coding concepts.

Scratch is a beginner-friendly coding platform designed to make programming simple and fun. With easy drag-and-drop blocks, kids will learn to code, develop problem-solving skills, and ignite a passion for technology. Whether they're new to coding or have some experience, this workshop offers a fun way to learn!

Please Note: Each child will need to have a laptop to participate. To prepare for the workshop, please create an account for your child on the Scratch website beforehand, so they are ready to start coding right away.

While we strongly encourage each child to bring their own laptop, we have a very limited number of laptops (only six) available for borrowing. If your child doesn’t have access to a suitable device, please let us know during the ticketing process.

Participants are encouraged to bring a drink and a snack, as there will be a break in the middle of the session.

ONLY book your child for this session if they are between 7 - 12 years. For health & safety reasons, do not book them if they fall outside of this age range.

Session runs from: 1:00pm - 3:00pm.
